Deli Counter Clerk
Department: DeliReports to: Assistant Deli Manager, Deli Manager, and Foodservice Director
Summary
Prepares and serves food at the deli counter including juices, sandwiches, and hot bar items while providing friendly customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and serve hot food.
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized.
- Follow recipes and portioning guidelines.
- Ensure proper food handling, rotation, and labeling.
- Provide excellent service and respond to customer needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in foodservice or deli preferred.
- Customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
- Capable of lifting 30 lbs and standing for long periods.
Performance Expectations
- Customer Service: No incidents of three stars or less in customer reviews.
- Safety: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Merchandising: Help the department achieve 95% or better in merchandising audits.
- Profit: Help the store meet or beat profit budget.
