Deli Associate

Heas Energy is a privately owned fuel wholesaler and the operator of Express Lane Markets, a growing group of convenience stores with fuel and fresh deli food.

About the Role

Our Food Service Associates prepare the fresh, hot, and made-to-order food our customers come back for, including fried chicken, sandwiches, and hot dogs. Team members are cross-trained to work the register, stock, and clean as well, so you can move between the deli and the store as needed. No experience is needed. We will train you.

What You'll Do

• Prepare deli and hot food items, including cleaning, seasoning, and cooking chicken, made-to-order sandwiches and hot dogs, and cold case items
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines at all times
• Keep the deli and kitchen clean, stocked, and organized; wash dishes and equipment
• Rotate products and help track deli inventory to keep food fresh
• Serve customers with a friendly, helpful attitude
• Work the register, stock shelves and coolers, and help clean the store when needed

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, dependable, and willing to learn
• Certified Food Handler
• Food preparation or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic math for register and cash handling

Schedule & Physical Requirements

• Shifts may include early mornings (as early as 4:30 AM), nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift, work around hot equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
