SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Deicing Duty Manager III is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day deicing operations and providing station support for additional operations assigned to the Deicing Operations Team. This role requires strong operational leadership, workforce supervision, and a commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence. This airport-based position supports the aviation industry and requires flexibility to work extended hours, particularly during adverse weather and peak operational periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the General Manager with the day-to-day activities of the entire deicing operation
- Assist with oversight of all deicing operations, fluid management, and resource readiness
- Ensure all aircraft are properly deiced and/or anti-iced in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and enforce adherence to company safety policies, standards, and procedures
- Prioritize workplace safety through established metrics and Service Level Agreements
- Ensure all required internal, airline, and airport deicing reports are completed accurately and timely
- Assist the General Manager in achieving financial performance goals including manpower planning, equipment utilization, fluid management, and facilities oversight
- Coordinate deicing operations with airport operations, customer airlines, and internal departments
- Respond to customer requests for information and coordinate audits and operational visits as required
- Review and monitor the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) standards for the station, addressing any areas of concern
- Assist in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and training of employees as required
- Oversee required deicing training including classroom, on-the-job, and airline-specific training
- Assist in identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Assist with employee relations issues and resolve service issues promptly to ensure contract retention
- Report service discrepancies and incidents to Senior Management immediately
- Share action plans and success factors with customers
- Establish and evaluate performance standards to measure employee progress
- Recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, and terminations as appropriate
- Foster a safe, cooperative, and productive work environment
- Adapt to and promote changes in corporate policies and procedures
- Attend meetings and events on behalf of PrimeFlight and its customers, maintaining professionalism at all times
- Meet or exceed all established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements
- Promote and support the company's Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives
- Ensure hazards, incidents, and safety concerns are reported and addressed in accordance with company procedures
- Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at assigned work location
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Minimum three years of management, supervisor, or lead experience required
- Fleet maintenance and mechanical knowledge preferred
- Must hold a valid drivers license.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, including operational documents
- Ability to use electronic devices including tablets, computers, and mobile devices
- Ability to communicate effectively both in-person and electronically
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
- Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays within a 24/7 operation
