OVERVIEW:

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Promotes the execution of all visual merchandising strategies, updates, and gameplans with a high level of accuracy. Maintains daily store standards, ensuring mannequins, displays, forms, and strike points reflect curated, head‑to‑toe styling, newness, trend, and brand alignment. Makes adjustments based on sell‑through, inventory, and store layout to create visually inspiring presentations that drive engagement and sales.

Conducts regular store walkthroughs with leadership team to assess visual priorities, identify opportunities, and align on execution expectations. Ensures standards are consistently upheld throughout the day and across all categories. Provides clear direction on merchandising adjustments needed to support brand strategy and business performance.

Partners closely with Store Manager, ASMs, and department leaders to align on workload, priorities, and daily/weekly visual needs. Provides in‑the‑moment coaching and training to develop teammates' merchandising skills, reinforce visual routines, and support ownership in each area. Participates in leadership meetings to help guide visual strategy in alignment with store goals.

Supports onboarding and ongoing development of teammates by teaching visual fundamentals, recovery processes, mannequin standards, and storytelling techniques. Plans and facilitates hands‑on training moments to build capability, confidence, and consistency across the building. Adjusts teaching style to meet the needs of new and tenured teammates.

Reviews upcoming workload, seasonal changes, and receipt flow to plan visual tasks effectively. Walks backstock and assesses inventory levels to anticipate merchandising needs. Aligns with store leadership on scheduling support for major updates, gameplans, and installations. Maintains workload calendars and prepares for upcoming initiatives.

Evaluates key business drivers including top sellers, category performance, and weekly trends to inform merchandising decisions. Submits weekly recaps outlining wins, opportunities, and recommended adjustments based on results. Helps store teams understand the connection between merchandising actions and sales, margin, and turns.

Supports an elevated athlete experience by ensuring the store is visually inspiring, easy to navigate, and aligned with customer service expectations. Contributes to store initiatives, special projects, or assignments as needed. Participates in personal development, building confidence and expanding capabilities through experience and learning opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or Visual Merchandising

  • 3 -5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising Experience (preferably in softlines)

  • A demonstrated understanding of customer and retail merchandising strategies

  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and working independently

  • Strong problem solving skills based on analytics

  • Ability to demonstrate strong conflict management skills and negotiate to resolution

  • Ability to adjust visual strategies based on store layout, inventory flow, and sales trends

  • Ability to influence and gain alignment across partners without direct authority

Targeted Pay Range: $47,300.00 - $78,900.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
