One of our customers is looking for a Deburring Technician for a contract to hire opportunity!
First shift:Monday?Thursday, 5:00 AM?2:30 PM; Friday, 5:00 AM?12:00 PM
The Deburring Technician is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections from metal components to ensure smooth, finished surfaces. The role supports quality control by ensuring manufactured parts meet specifications and are safe for use.
Key responsibilities
* Deburring and finishing:Use Dremels, files, grinders, sandpaper, deburring knives, and pneumatic tools to remove excess material and sharp edges.
* Quality inspection:Visually inspect parts, using magnifiers and measurement gauges to identify burrs, defects, and inconsistencies
* Tool maintenance:Clean and maintain tools and equipment and report damaged or worn tools.
* Safety:Follow established safety procedures when working with tools and machinery.
* Teamwork:Work with machinists, quality control personnel, and supervisors to resolve part-quality issues.
* Documentation:Record completed work, track parts processed, and communicate production progress or problems.
*Manufacturing, machining, or similar experience preferred.
* Familiarity with deburring tools and equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
* Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools.
* Ability to sit for extended periods.
* Repetitive gripping and filing motions.
* Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
