    Description

Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

    In this role, you support production by removing burrs, polishing surfaces, and preparing machined components for finishing. You contribute to product quality by inspecting parts, operating deburr and finishing equipment, and keeping materials moving efficiently through the post‑production workflow.

    Responsibilities

    • Deburrs and processes machined components after machining operations.
    • Chases machine-cut threads to size when necessary.
    • Polishes tight‑tolerance surface finishes and inspects them using a profilometer.
    • Washes parts after the deburr process and performs citric passivation when required.
    • Assists with material inventory and preparation for machining processes.
    • Operates mass‑finishing barrel tumblers using established recipes for specific parts and materials.
    • Meets productivity expectations and production goals.
    • Maintains a clean and efficient work environment.
    • Keeps products moving through the production process and alerts management to any delays.
    • Contributes ideas for ongoing process improvements.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 1 year of professional experience in a factory or production environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of deburr experience using manual and automated equipment.
    • Experience working in a machine shop.
    • Experience with basic blueprint reading.
    • Knowledge of computer numerical control (CNC) machining.
    • Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, profilometers, and borescopes.

    Physical Requirements

    • Operates machinery from a standing position.
    • Constantly positions self to operate machinery in various configurations.
    • Constantly visually inspects parts.
    • Occasionally lifts and moves up to 30 pounds. The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
