The College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CASH) serves as a dynamic and interdisciplinary academic unit committed to advancing excellence in teaching, research, creative expression, professional practice, and student success. With a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programs across the arts, social sciences, and humanities, the College provides students with opportunities to explore their academic interests, develop critical and creative thinking skills, and prepare for meaningful careers and graduate or professional study.

Primary Purpose of Position
The Dean of the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities provides strategic academic and administrative leadership for a newly reorganized college encompassing programs in Art & Design, Criminal Justice, History, Mass Communication, Music, Language & Literature, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, and Theater & Dance. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief academic officer of the College and is responsible for establishing and advancing its strategic vision, goals, and priorities.
The Dean provides executive leadership to foster an inclusive, collaborative, innovative, and high-performing multidisciplinary academic culture that advances excellence in teaching, research, professional practice, and service. The position provides overarching administrative oversight of the College's academic programs, faculty and staff, professional development, fiscal and budgetary operations, research activities, enrollment, and student success. The Dean also leads the College's external engagement and advancement efforts, including community outreach, strategic partnerships, development, and fundraising, while strengthening the College's visibility, resources, and impact within the University and broader community.
