    • Advanced proficiency with ToolboxST, control logic development, HMI/SCADA, and turbine controls.
    • Strong commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and plant controls experience.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced DCS Controls Engineer to support control system engineering, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities on a major power generation project. The position will provide hands-on technical support for GE Mark VIe turbine and plant control systems, including system configuration, control logic, HMI/SCADA, networking, field instrumentation, and system integration. The DCS Controls Engineer will work closely with engineering, commissioning, operations, OEM representatives, and field personnel to ensure reliable control system operation throughout commissioning and startup.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot GE Mark VIe controls for gas turbine, steam turbine, and Balance of Plant systems.
    • Develop, modify, test, and validate control logic using GE ToolboxST.
    • Support system upgrades, migrations, software modifications, and change management.
    • Perform commissioning, startup, loop checks, SAT/FAT, and plant acceptance testing.
    • Diagnose control system faults, communication issues, instrumentation problems, and process-control issues.
    • Configure and troubleshoot CIMPLICITY HMI, Historian, SCADA, and operator interfaces.
    • Integrate Mark VIe with PLCs, third-party DCS platforms, instrumentation, and plant communication networks.
    • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, outage activities, system optimization, and turnover documentation.

    Job Requirements:

    • Advanced hands-on knowledge of GE Mark VIe and ToolboxST.
    • Strong experience with control logic development, modification, testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with CIMPLICITY HMI, Historian systems, SCADA, and industrial networks.
    • Knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP, OPC DA/UA, Profibus, Ethernet, and PLC/DCS integration.
    • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, logic diagrams, instrument specifications, and control schematics.
    • Strong knowledge of turbine controls, instrumentation, loop tuning, and power plant operations.
    • Gas turbine and steam turbine controls experience preferred.
    • GE 7H gas turbine and plant controls experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Emerson Ovation, Honeywell Experion, ABB, Siemens, or Yokogawa DCS platforms preferred.

    Education / Experience:

    • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related discipline strongly preferred.
    • 10+ years of experience with GE process control systems.
    • 7+ years of direct GE Mark VIe experience in power generation environments.
    • Proven experience supporting commissioning, startup, performance testing, and troubleshooting of power generation control systems.
    • GE controls training or relevant automation certifications preferred.
