Location: Houston, TX 77072

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Standard 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $65.00 - $72.00/Hr. On W2

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the design, engineering, and delivery of modular data center infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of mechanical or electrical engineering experience in industrial facilities, large infrastructure, or data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support technical aspects of data center projects from design through delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other teams.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Develop engineering scopes, execution plans, and project schedules.
  • Support mechanical systems, piping, fire protection, and equipment design.
  • Prepare and review equipment lists, valve lists, piping layouts, line lists, equipment data sheets, and pipe sizing/stress calculations.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, site visits, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage engineering changes and provide technical support during project execution.
  • Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry codes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, preferably in industrial facilities, infrastructure, or data centers.
  • Experience with mechanical systems, piping systems, fire suppression, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI, ASTM, AWS, OSHA, NFPA, and related industry regulations.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • SolidWorks
  • Autodesk Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • BIM 360
  • Navisworks

Additional Requirements

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client-facing and technical communication abilities.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
