Strategic Account Manager (T&L)

POSITION INFORMATION

The Strategic Account Manager will work to penetrate new Tier 1 and Tier 2 Transportation & Logistics customers to both introduce the Datalogic brand and establish executive level and decision maker relationships to ultimately sell all Datalogic products and solutions throughout the organization.

Position location: remote/home office with business travel (central/eastern US preferred)

ROLE MISSION

The Datalogic Strategic Account Manager (SAM), maintains and expands relationships with strategically important customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieves assigned sales quota in designated strategic accounts
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key executive personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Develops annual business plans with assigned partners and conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure execution to plan.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Execution of strategic or tactical objectives that are assigned as part of the global or regional business objectives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education (School/Specialization) Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or similar from an accredited University. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred but not required based on level of industry experience

Primary Language Fluent English; written and verbal communication

Experience • At least 5 years sales experience to end users in the Transportation & Logistics Tier 1/Tier 2 accounts that include FTL, LTL and 3PL's providers.

  • Strong understanding of fleet operations, warehousing and logistics workflows.
  • Helping customers address operational efficiencies and mobility workflow challenges while managing new regulations and industry compliance standards

Skills • Ideal candidate would have experience in some or all of the following areas of delivering solutions involving: IoT, RFID, barcode, enterprise mobile computing, wireless networking technologies, device management.

  • Experience selling complex software/hardware solutions to senior-level stakeholders and decision makers
  • Strategic thought leader and trusted business partner to the Customer.
  • Self-directed, disciplined, and capable of operating in ambiguous environments
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the US
  • Entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated, and driven to achieve a comprehensive set of performance metrics and quantitative measures.
  • Strategic thought leader and trusted business partner to the Customer.

Travel • This position is home based and require travel approximately 60% of the time
