These sites support 24/7 production of highly specialized technology components used across multiple industries. The campuses include clean-room environments, engineering labs, and high-volume production lines that require a diverse, skilled workforce.

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DC Process Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying and classifying manufacturing defects while also maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing process equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and maximum up time.

 

Job Description

  • Review and accurately classify semiconductor manufacturing defects using the established Defect Catalog.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), Diffusion Furnace and chamber cleans, and other equipment maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair process equipment involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of process equipment.
  • Document defect classifications, maintenance activities, and other work accurately in electronic tracking systems.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with reviewing and updating procedures when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to improve equipment performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Support quality control efforts by identifying potential issues and ensuring accurate defect classification.
  • Adapt to changing business requirements, production conditions, and work responsibilities.
  • Make timely and informed decisions based on available information, operational requirements, and potential risks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to improve processes, equipment performance, and overall operational efficiency.

 

Skills Required

  • Strong mechanical background with experience in equipment maintenance, assembly, and disassembly.
  • Experience with mechanical procedures, including bolting.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed SOPs and technical procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and classify defects.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using electronic systems for documentation.
  • Ability to perform moderate data analysis and make informed decisions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals and timelines.
  • Ability to lift items greater than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for approximately 11 hours per day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor process equipment, particularly:
    • Diffusion Kokusai and TEL Furnaces
    • AMAT mainframes equipped with RTP and EPI chambers
    • TEL Trias platforms with SPA chambers
  • Experience in equipment maintenance, defect inspection, quality control, or process troubleshooting is a plus.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Associate degree or higher in a technical or related field required

 

Additional Requirements

  • (Night): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

 

Pay rate

  • $26-30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
