Position Responsibilities: Support site infrastructure assessment, selection, contract negotiations of technical scope, and facilitates site acceptance of AWS colocation (colo) data center projects. Review vendor designs to identify risks/gaps and then implement the latest AWS design standards in colocations either by intercepting/influencing designs, or by driving upgrades within existing facilities to meet acceptable standards. Assess infrastructure, redundancy model, and availability risks, and then engage internal or external resources in various disciplines based on risk assessment to identify solutions to resolve or mitigate risks. Support various AWS deployment models including large-scale Core, Network Edge, Burrow, Local Zone, region launch in a new jurisdiction, and other products without defined requirements (ASTRA Ground Station, Homestead, Private Local Zones, Outposts, Wavelengths, etc.). Drive the evolving Single-tenant deployment models in both emerging and mature markets within assigned region. Recommend sound engineering solutions based on business services requirement, design standards and acceptable availability requirements, and provide a time-bound plan with desired outcomes. Carry out strategic engagement with vendors to align on design standards for new Data centers.

Position Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Masters degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) Working with Data center electrical; (2) Electrical design and topology for data centers; (3) Generators/UPS and inverter; (4) Using SKM/ETAP simulation tools.

Domestic travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
