About the Role:Loving Hands Daycare Center is a Christian Daycare/Preschool (a ministry of City of Hope International) in Kearny, NJ is looking for a passionate and nurturing Daycare Teacher to join our dedicated team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children during their most formative years in a warm, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans according Christian curriculum and daily activities that promote child development
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children throughout the day
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily updates
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with our standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support program goals
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication, patience, interpersonal skills and good work ethics
- Strong classroom management skills
- Warm, caring, and enthusiastic attitude toward children and families
- Consistent with Christian values and education
