Responsibilities:- Support lead teachers in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities
- Supervise and assist children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Provide attentive care and emotional support to children throughout the day
- Assist with behavior management using positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and guardians as needed
- Step in seamlessly as an on-call substitute across various classrooms and age groups
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; coursework in early childhood education is a plus
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare, school, or camp setting preferred
- Ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule with little advance notice
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a background check and meet NJ childcare compliance requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
