About the Role:Sugar Bear Day Care Inc is looking for a reliable and caring Daycare Mini Van Driver to join our team in South Jamaica, NY! This play a vital role in the safety and daily routine of the children and families we serve. Responsibilities:- Safely transport children to and from daycare, school, and other designated locations in a daycare mini van
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is safe and road-ready
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including proper use of car seats and seat belts
- Maintain accurate trip schedule
- Communicate effectively with daycare staff regarding pickup/drop-off schedules
- Follow all traffic laws, child passenger safety regulations, and company policies
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
- Assisting in property safety walk through weekly
- Secure weekly trash on the curb
- Hours are based on NYC school days
Requirements:- Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving a mini van or passenger vehicle, preferably in a childcare or school setting
- Must pass a background check and meet NYS childcare transportation requirements
- Willing to take 15 hours of training online a annual
- Punctual, patient, and dependable with a strong sense of responsibility
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, child-friendly demeanor
- Ability to follow schedules and adapt to changing routes or needs
