Childcare Attendant – Part Time

GENERAL SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager, the ideal candidate will be energetic and dedicated while providing a safe and pleasant environment for children.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•  Supervise children ages 2 to 12 years
•  Upholds registration / security measures
•  Maintain child care room and equipment, including keeping toys and surfaces clean and sanitary.
•  Keep accurate records and forms
•  Ability to clearly communicate with parents and staff

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard office environment, however all functions named in this section could also be performed on any surface in accordance with employment in a recreational facility.

Scheduled Shifts: 

The Childcare room is open the following hours, availability during these times is required:

•  Monday thru Friday, 8a-12p
•  Monday thru Friday, 4:30p-8:30p
•  Saturday: 9a-1p
•  Sunday 12p-4p

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED: 

Standard office equipment that include; computers and software packages, fax and copy machines, telephones, cash registers, and adding machines.  Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include; vacuums, mops, brooms, sprayers, disinfectors, hoses and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ JOB STANDARDS: 

•  Must be 16 years of age or older
•  Experience working with children is preferred
•  American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED required, or must have the ability to obtain with 90 days of hire.
