Description
Nesco Resource is seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to support a one-day IT equipment relocation project between facilities in Marlborough and Billerica, MA.
Technicians will assist with safely unracking, preparing, and packing IT equipment for shipment at the Marlborough location, followed by racking and installation at the destination facility in Billerica.
Location: Marlborough, MA → Billerica, MA
Employment Type: Short-Term Contract / Project-Based
Environment: Data Center / IT Lab
Key Responsibilities
Unrack servers, network equipment, and associated IT hardware.
Safely disconnect, label, and organize power and network cabling.
Prepare and secure equipment for transportation between facilities.
Assist with equipment handling, loading, and unloading as needed.
Rack and mount equipment at the destination facility.
Follow equipment handling procedures and onsite safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience working in data centers, IT labs, or server rooms.
Hands-on experience with server/network equipment racking and unracking.
Familiarity with rack hardware, cable management, and proper equipment handling.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical installation work.
Reliable transportation and ability to report onsite by 6:00 AM.
Project Duration: One day, approximately 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (subject to project completion).
