Job Summary

The Cloud and DevOps Engineer builds and maintains the cloud foundation the data platform runs on, and the automation that keeps deployments boring. This role covers infrastructure as code, networking, identity, pipeline automation, and operational tooling across the environments supporting Databricks and adjacent services. It is a hands on role with real production accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure through Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure as code tool

• Design and manage networking including virtual networks, subnets, private endpoints, firewalls, and routing

• Manage identity, roles, service principals, and secret storage across environments

• Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment with automated testing and approvals

• Implement observability across logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response

• Harden environments against security baselines and remediate findings

• Support disaster recovery design, backup strategy, and environment restoration testing

• Participate in an on call rotation for production infrastructure

Required Skills

• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering

• Strong Terraform experience and a track record managing infrastructure as code in production

• Depth in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP covering compute, storage, networking, and IAM

• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• CI/CD tooling experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jenkins

• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying and administering Databricks infrastructure

• Kubernetes and Docker experience

• Observability tooling such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk

• Cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Architect

• Security automation and policy as code experience
