Description:
Responsible for managing educational data systems, maintaining curriculum and assessment-related databases, and developing dashboards and reporting tools to support the Office of Assessment and Quality Improvement and decision-making across the College of Medicine. Reports to the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Quality Improvement (ADAQI).
Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
Actively participate in strategic conversations to achieving objectives of the Office of Assessment and Quality Improvement and the College of Medicine.
Manage and support ProgressIQ.
Develop, manage, and maintain databases of educational data including students, faculty, and courses for College of Medicine programs, including all elements necessary for curriculum mapping and data reporting for curricular and accreditation purposes.
Maintain documentation regarding the database and its content.
Extract, analyze, and present data using appropriate software and systems.
Develop and manage software to display data using dashboards and other formats that are easy to use by administrators, faculty, staff, and/or students.
Develop and manage AI systems and instances, including prompt engineering, for data analysis.
Ensure security for all data and appropriate access permissions as outlined in existing university policies.
Employs best practices in technology management to achieve objectives of the Office of Assessment and Quality Improvement and the College of Medicine.
Provides training to users for ProgressIQ and internally developed applications.
Performs related duties as required.
