Database Security Engineer

Senior Database Security Engineer Location - Plano, TX/Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid - (3 days onsite in a week) Duration: 12-18 months The role required Automate database security and monitoring work on a large SQL Server estate, moving toward cloud databases. We are seeking a seasoned and motivated developer with in-depth Python, shell scripting, Linux, REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, MSSQL expertise.

• 10+ years as a SQL Server engineer or other database developer
• In-depth Python and shell scripting, with real scripts you can walk through
• Linux, REST API
• AWS RDS, Postgres, MSSQL
• Database security: native audit logging, encryption in transit and at rest, entitlements, password vaulting
• Jira, Horizon, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum
• AWS and/or Azure architecture

• Guardium or similar activity monitoring tools
• PowerShell, Ansible

• Senior Database Automation Engineer with extensive Python and shell scripting experience
• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or other database developer
• We are seeking a seasoned and motivated developer with in-depth Python, shell scripting, Linux, REST API, AWS RDS, Postgres, MSSQL expertise.
• Great knowledge of database security concepts such as native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-test, entitlements, password vaulting. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
• The individual should be dynamic, quick learner, out of the box thinker, proactive, capable of working independently as well as within a team. Should be familiar with scrum framework values and agile practices, including hands-on knowledge of Jira, Horizon, CICD
