Database Automation Engineer

SUMMARY:

Your position involves automating Database processes using Python. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Database Design and Warehouse Engineering within the Data Services Infrastructure Group and will require strong team interaction with Data Services staff/peers, other engineering and operations group members within the IT organization, as well as with application and business development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Automate standard Database processes using Python.

Develop new automation scripts in python and write unit cases.

Enhance/troubleshoot existing Unix shell scripts.

Build Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and develop code repositories using Git and bitbucket.

SKILLs NEEDED:

Expert in Python programming.

Unix shell scriptingAnsible 

Experience creating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and develop code repositories using Git and bitbucket.

Team player

Nice To Have:

General Database knowledge and schema change process.

Collibra metadata management tool.DB2, SAP IQ and Snowflake experience.

AWS / Azure experience.
