Everforth ECS is seeking a Database Administrator - SME to work in Fairfax, Virginia. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Position Summary

ECS is seeking a Database Administrator - SME to support the Army National Guard's ENOCS program by leading the governance and operational oversight of enterprise database environments. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of databases that underpin critical development and production systems. This role is pivotal in aligning database operations with the broader enterprise architecture objectives, contributing to the overall mission success by optimizing data services for scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead governance and operational oversight of enterprise database environments.
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.
  • Develop high-availability configurations and performance optimization standards.
  • Implement data integrity controls and enforce security mechanisms.
  • Oversee vulnerability remediation and conduct capacity planning initiatives.
  • Guide database modernization efforts in alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Coordinate with application development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise data services.
  • Align database operations with operational objectives and enterprise goals.
