    Description

    IDR is seeking a Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Gold River, California. In this role, you will help design, manage, and optimize critical database environments that support large-scale public sector initiatives. You’ll partner closely with development and technical teams to ensure stable, high-performing databases across deployments, upgrades, and ongoing operations.

    Position Overview for the Database Administrator:

    • Design, implement, and maintain database schemas aligned to application and business needs
    • Support development teams with database objects, schema changes, and data migration activities across the SDLC
    • Troubleshoot SQL performance issues and collaborate with developers to optimize queries and stored procedures
    • Monitor database health, availability, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools and cloud-native services
    • Build and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to support business continuity

    Requirements for the Database Administrator:

    • 5+ years of Oracle database administration experience, including performance tuning and SQL optimization
    • Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and Aurora MySQL
    • Experience designing database schemas, managing schema changes, and supporting data migrations
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot SQL performance issues and optimize database performance
    • Experience supporting application releases within the SDLC, including familiarity with CI/CD for database deployments
