Title: Database Administrator - Level II


Investigation Required: Tier 3 (Secret Clearance)


Certifications

  • IAT II (Please see Section 3.0 Commercial Certificates for DoD 8570.01-M certificate requirement)
  • CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certificate for supported technology as approved by the COR. Examples Include: Microsoft - MCSA: SQL 2016 (or most recent) Database Administration or equivalent as approved by the COR Oracle - Oracle Database 12c (or most recent) Administrator Certified Associate or equivalent as approved by the COR


Experience: Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency. Functional Responsibility: Deploy and sustain database management systems to accommodate the organization's business requirements. Administers day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security and availability of database management systems and hosted databases. Assists architecture and engineering with defining functional needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, data output and reporting capabilities. Assists architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of software products. Creates standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the database management systems and hosted databases. Performs system level database management platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained.


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.
