Role Summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer for a fully remote contract opportunity with a strong potential for permanent conversion. In this role, you will help build a new enterprise data warehouse environment in Azure that supports reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization.

You will be responsible for designing scalable data models, developing data integration pipelines, and ensuring data quality and performance across multiple source systems. This position offers the opportunity to play a significant role in a high visibility initiative tied to a major EMR and EHR implementation effort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop enterprise data warehouse architecture
  • Build dimensional data models including fact and dimension tables
  • Create and maintain ETL and ELT data integration pipelines
  • Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance
  • Automate and monitor data loading and transformation processes
  • Validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
  • Support Power BI reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Document data models, processes, and warehouse architecture

Key Requirements
  • 3+ years of data warehouse development experience
  • Proven experience building a data warehouse from scratch
  • Advanced SQL and T SQL development skills
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable databases
  • Experience developing ETL pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools
  • Expertise with dimensional modeling, star schemas, and snowflake schemas
  • Experience supporting Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with a small team
