Data Validation Specialist

This role will focus on validating financial data between legacy and new systems, identifying discrepancies, and helping ensure a smooth transition during go-live.

Accounting Data Validation Specialist (Part-Time)

Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Setting: 100% On Site
Schedule: Part-Time | 3 days/week (Mon-Wed preferred) | Approx. 6 hours/day
Duration: Contract through November with potential extension
Pay: $24-$28/hr
Hours: Mon - Wed, 8a - 5p

We're seeking a detail-oriented ERP Implementation / Data Validation Specialist to support a city-wide ERP implementation and year-end audit. This role will focus on validating financial data between legacy and new systems, identifying discrepancies, and helping ensure a smooth transition during go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and reconcile financial data between old and new ERP systems
• Research and resolve data discrepancies and balancing issues
• Assist with ERP-related training materials and user support
• Support year-end audit activities as needed
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and key stakeholders throughout implementation

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting background required
• Knowledge of GASB/government accounting preferred
• Understanding of permanent and temporary accounts
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• ERP implementation, auditing, PeopleSoft, or Oracle Fusion experience is a plus
