Satisfies customer requirements by testing incoming equipment for deficiencies, repairing, or upgrading product and retesting to confirm operating condition. Tests, updates, refurbishes, and repairs electromechanical devices using test stations and other equipment or tools.

Position Summary:

Under minimal supervision, the technician sets up and performs updates on assemblies throughout production to latest revision levels. Satisfies customer requirements by testing incoming equipment for deficiencies, repairing, or upgrading product and retesting to confirm operating condition.  




Responsibilities/Duties:

• Sets up equipment, which may include installing hardware and loading software applications onto customer units.
• Test customer units which may include an immersive experience that includes visual, audio and haptic feedback to the technician.
• Tests, updates, refurbishes, and repairs electromechanical devices using test stations and other equipment or tools.
• Visually inspects product for damage, date, serialization, or other identifiers.
• Diagnoses problems and reports any issues.
• Logically troubleshoots electronic and electromechanical equipment to identify problems and rework equipment.
• Uses Reconext software to view test data and/or unit location.
• Interfaces with other technicians and engineers to resolve problems.
• May assist with the development of repair processes and procedures.
• Responsible for achieving daily/weekly production goals.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in electronic-mechanical assembly or testing and troubleshooting.
• Must have a “can do” approach to every challenge and be a problem solver.
• Must be able to articulate verbally and in writing to clarify and resolve problems on all products.
