    Detroit Recovery Project (DRP) is seeking a dedicated Data Specialist to support the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of program and client data across the organization. This role is responsible for collecting and entering data, maintaining database systems, reviewing information for accuracy, and generating reports that help teams monitor progress and program outcomes.     What We're Looking For

    Detroit Recovery Project is seeking a Data Specialist to support the collection, entry, maintenance, validation, and reporting of client and program data. This position works closely with team members and project coordinators to ensure information is accurate, timely, and complete while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

    The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with data, and can identify inconsistencies, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings effectively.

    Compensation Range: This position is supported through grant funding. As a result, compensation is determined by the grant budget and may fall within a designated pay rate or range set by that funding source. The hourly pay range for this position is $24.04–$26.44 per hour and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position that is eligible for overtime compensation with prior approval.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Perform The Following:

    Data Entry & Management

    • Accurately and timely enter client and program data into DRP systems.
    • Maintain and update database systems to ensure information remains current and complete.
    • Assess and cross-reference data from multiple source documents.
    • Review data to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing information, or other deficiencies and make appropriate corrections.

    Reporting & Data Quality

    • Generate reports to assist teams with evaluating progress toward established timelines, goals, and program objectives.
    • Compile information for use in routine and specialized reports, including reports containing confidential information.
    • Monitor data quality and identify opportunities for corrections or improvements.
    • Communicate data changes, corrections, and identified concerns to appropriate team members and project coordinators.
    • Collaborate with team members to resolve data-related issues and support positive program outcomes.

    Compliance & Confidentiality

    • Maintain the confidentiality and security of client and organizational information in accordance with DRP policies.
    • Perform assigned duties in compliance with applicable program performance standards and regulations.
    • Exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

    Team & Administrative Support

    • Work collaboratively with team members and project coordinators to support program reporting and data needs.
    • Maintain organized and accurate records.
    • Assist with data-related projects and organizational reporting needs.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Demonstrated ability to accurately collect, enter, review, and maintain data.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive client and organizational information.

    Preferred

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Previous experience with data collection and processing.
    • Knowledge of back-office computer systems, including ERP software.
    • Experience working with databases and data-reporting systems.
