Job Title: Data Solution Architect
Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)
Pay rate: $40.85 - $42.03/hr
Work schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
Duration: 3 month contract
Overview
This role leverages analysis and design techniques to solve complex business problems using information technology to operationalize data and analytical models. The Data Solution Architect partners with Product Owners, BI Developers, and Business Leads to gather requirements, build and maintain data pipelines/models, and ensure data accessibility, security, and governance across enterprise systems.
Job Specifications- Partner with MDS to ensure data accessibility, retrievability, security, and protection in an ethical manner
- Conduct business requirement gathering and continuous improvement sessions with Product Owners, BI Developers, and Business Leads
- Develop requirement documents, acceptance criteria, and test cases for UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and SIT (System Integration Testing)
- Support scoping, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and transport systems to retrieve applicable datasets
- Build, test, and maintain flexible data models while reconciling multiple logical source models into a single consistent model
- Analyze the structure, format, and reliability of new and existing data sources for integrity, completeness, and accuracy
- Participate in data governance processes to document and maintain data for business reusability and consistent information retrieval
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
- 1+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Modeling and 3+ years in Database Design required
- Experience with Data Engineering concepts within a business setting, including working with SAP and internal/external data sources
- Proficiency in cloud computing technologies (Azure, GCP) and analytics platforms (Databricks, Google Cloud Dataproc)
- Expertise in programming languages including SQL, Python, PySpark, and DAX
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, DataOps, ETL processes, data pipelines, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with data modeling and wrangling techniques/tools (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau)
