Data Scientist

POSITION SUMMARY

Solero Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to develop advanced analytics, statistical models, predictive solutions, and data-driven insights within a large public-sector environment.

The Data Scientist will analyze complex datasets, develop machine-learning and statistical models, identify trends and patterns, and translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations. This role will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, BI Developers, technology teams, and business stakeholders to support operational improvement, strategic planning, and responsible AI initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Public-sector, government, education, or regulated-industry experience.
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics and machine-learning platforms.
• Experience with generative AI, NLP, or advanced predictive analytics.
• Experience developing production-ready machine-learning solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, model governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience communicating analytical findings to executive and business stakeholders.

Relevant Microsoft Azure, AWS, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, data science, machine learning, or AI certifications are preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong experience with Python, SQL, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Experience developing and evaluating predictive or machine-learning models.
