    Summary:

    Assist and extend the effectiveness of the Quality & Patient Safety provided to Catholic Health (CH) patients by reviewing, analyzing, reconciling & entering highly- sensitive, confidential data into the voluntary & mandatory registries that direct Performance Improvement Initiatives across Catholic Health. Review includes in-hospital, patient reported and longitudinal review. Supports CH Performance Improvement Conferences by educating clinicians on State and National reporting guidelines and guiding opportunities for improvement. Creates detailed and comprehensive case summaries for multiple medical staff peer review conferences. Regularly interacts with administration, clinical teams, medical staff and ancillary departments to assist in development and support of improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor of Science Degree OR Graduate of Professional Nursing

    EXPERIENCE
    • Two years of professional experience in a similar role or professional setting

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
    • Strong critical thinking skills, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong Medical Terminology, especially in areas of: neurology, vascular, cardiology (surgery, diagnostic, and interventional)
    • Ability use independent judgment and work independently
    • Must be able to prioritize work in a frequently changing work environment
    • Able to function effectively under stress and meet required deadlines
    • Strong Computer Skills
    • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills required in working with Administration, clinical teams & medical staff
    • Attention to detail and follow-up necessary

    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Travel between CH facilities
    • Reviews records and enters data into a computer on a daily basis
