Position Overview
  • We are seeking experienced Data Product Owners / Data Stewards to join a strategic enterprise data transformation initiative focused on establishing a new data infrastructure and governance framework. These professionals will play a critical role in defining, managing, and governing enterprise data assets while ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • This team is responsible for developing and enforcing data standards, stewardship processes, quality controls, and governance practices across key business domains. The ideal candidates will possess deep expertise in data management disciplines and the ability to partner effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • We are hiring for two complementary profiles:
  • Data Product Owner - Technical Focus
  • This individual will work closely with data engineers, architects, and end users to support the implementation of data governance and stewardship initiatives within a newly established data environment.
  • Data Product Owner - Business / Treasury Focus
  • This individual will serve as a strategic liaison between Treasury, Operations, and Technology organizations, translating business requirements into data solutions while driving governance, stewardship, and data quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and support enterprise data governance and stewardship frameworks.
  • Define and maintain data standards, business rules, ownership models, and data quality controls.
  • Lead data mapping activities across new and existing data platforms.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of data solutions.
  • Develop and manage data quality contracts and governance processes.
  • Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives across critical domains including:
    • Clients
    • Products
    • Securities
  • Define and document data lineage, metadata, and business glossaries.
  • Facilitate governance discussions and drive resolution of data quality and ownership issues.
  • Present recommendations and governance outcomes to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance tools and processes.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Stewardship, or related disciplines.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Data Governance
    • Data Stewardship
    • Data Mapping
    • Data Quality Management
    • Data Quality Contracts
    • Master Data Management (MDM)
    • Data Modeling (Conceptual and Physical)
    • Data Lineage
    • Metadata Management
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise data governance platforms such as:
    • Collibra
    • Informatica Data Governance
    • Informatica MDM
    • Related metadata and governance solutions
  • Experience supporting large-scale data transformation or modernization programs.
  • Exposure to Treasury, Financial Services, Banking Operations, or Capital Markets environments.
  • Experience developing data governance frameworks within complex enterprise organizations.
  • Strong executive-level presentation and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information:
  • Duration: 12 month contract opportunity
  • Hybrid Work Model: 4 days onsite required weekly in Pittsburgh, PA (Preferred) or New York, NY
  • Rate Range: $90-95/hr. W2 (based on experience)
