Were seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Migration and Integration Developer to join our team and lead end-to-end data transformation initiatives as part of a large-scale system modernization effort.

    Position Overview:
    The Senior Data Migration and Integration Developer will serve as a technical lead responsible for designing and executing secure, efficient, and accurate data migration and system integration strategies. This individual will play a critical role in modernizing legacy environments by enabling data interoperability across platforms and ensuring compliance with health data governance policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Legacy System Data Migration:
      Lead the design, development, and execution of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) strategies to migrate data from complex legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
    • Data Mapping & Transformation:
      Analyze legacy data structures and schemas; define and implement transformation rules and mappings to align data with updated business logic and the target systems architecture.
    • System Integration Development:
      Develop and maintain scalable, secure APIs, web services, and middleware components to enable real-time and batch data exchange with external systems such as Medicaid, provider databases, and federal/state registries.
    • Data Quality Assurance:
      Conduct thorough data validation, cleansing, deduplication, and reconciliation activities to ensure high-quality datasets throughout the migration lifecycle.
    • ETL Development & Optimization:
      Build and fine-tune performant ETL pipelines capable of handling large, complex datasets with minimal disruption during migration cutovers.
    • Security, Privacy & Compliance:
      Implement and maintain data migration and integration solutions in compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and Wyoming-specific healthcare data privacy policies.
    • Testing & Validation:
      Collaborate with QA teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate migration outcomes, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolve any data-related anomalies.
    • Cutover & Transition Planning:
      Support go-live readiness activities including mock runs, rollback procedures, cutover strategy, and final synchronization processes to ensure a seamless transition.
    • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
      Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, data mapping sheets, ETL design, and operational procedures. Facilitate knowledge transfer to client teams and internal support staff.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
    • 7+ years of experience in data migration and integration within public sector or healthcare environments
    • Expertise in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
    • Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, CMS, etc.)
    • Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs, XML/JSON data handling, and secure data transmission protocols
    • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
    • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
