Data Intake Specialist - Onsite

Location: 11511 Shadow Creek Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77584
Schedule: 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM
Contract: 06/01/2026 to 12/31/2026 (ASAP)
Pay Rate: $13.50/hr (Paid Weekly)
Allmed Benefits: Vision, Health, Dental Insurance and 401(k)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Intake Specialist to support enrollment, appeals, and grievance operations within a healthcare environment. This position is responsible for accurately collecting, entering, organizing, and maintaining sensitive patient and health plan member information while ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and accurately enter patient and health plan member information into enrollment and grievance tracking systems.
  • Process incoming enrollment, appeals, and grievance requests according to established procedures.
  • Review submitted information and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records, forms, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify missing or incomplete information and take appropriate action to obtain required documentation.
  • Ensure records are maintained accurately and within required processing timelines.
  • Assist with tracking and routing appeals and grievances to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain accurate data within applicable healthcare systems and databases.
  • Handle sensitive patient and member information with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, ACA, CMS guidelines, and state requirements related to enrollment, appeals, and grievances.
  • Perform data quality checks and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Support other administrative and data intake functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive healthcare information.
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new healthcare systems and software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
