QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must hold a Wisconsin DPI teaching license.

Reading license preferred; may provide student intervention as needed.

  1. Must have a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.

  2. Candidates also must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in:

Analyzing data and adopting an effective course of action on the basis of the data

Using the district data system to analyze student data and prepare statistical reports

Curriculum and program development

Providing professional development for teachers

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others

Identifying and using evidence-based instructional practices.

  1. Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently.

  2. Experience as an educator in Sheboygan Area School District and/or a literacy or math coach or leadership experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

INSTRUCTIONAL/DATA COACH

  • Supports teachers through the SLO process, professional development planning, and delivery.
  • Assists with new staff training in areas such as phonics, Benchmark Literacy and Bridges Math
  • Coordinates assessment logistics and helps interpret data from STAR, AIMS, FORWARD, and other district tools.
  • Lead PLC meetings to share evidence-based practices and instructional strategies.
  • Collaborates regularly with principals and teachers to implement instructional plans and supports.
  • Conducts non-evaluative classroom walkthroughs and offers feedback on evidence-based instruction.
  • Co-facilitates Data Team meetings and meets with grade-level teams to review data and guide instruction.
  • Provides modeling or feedback upon request and promotes peer collaboration.
  • Assists with curriculum implementation and monitors personalized reading plans in alignment with Act 20 requirement

MATH INTERVENTIONIST

Math: Ability to ascertain, through formal and informal methods, the math strengths and weaknesses of individual students and report results to staff and parents.

Knowledge of and experience with math instruction and interventions.

Demonstrate expertise in the district's math program.

Provide direct instruction to individual/small groups of students.

Coordinate and help in the administration and analysis of math achievement and/or diagnostic testing.

Utilize progress monitoring tools to determine whether instruction/interventions are positively impacting student achievement.

Communicate instructional programming and student progress to parents, teachers, and administrators.

Other duties as assigned by the building administrator.
