Data Infrastructure Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES 

We are building a data driven platform for its connected car experience. Our Cloud Services team is looking for a data infrastructure engineer with a passion for building highly scalable platform. The successful candidate has demonstrated experience in building high- performing consumer oriented data infrastructure that are scalable and extensible. This is a terrific opportunity for an engineer interested in enabling the next generation of services and technology for our next-generation car infotainment system.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 • Designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable data infrastructure in Java with Big Data technology and tools

• Rich experience in building big data analytics infrastructure systems – Kafka, Storm. HBase, Redshift etc typically having petabytes of data.

• Good knowledge of distributed systems, NoSql storage systems, stream processing, lambda architecture and other Big Data systems.

 • More than 5 years of experience in developing software on the Grid : Hadoop, Apache Spark

 • Deep understanding of the data driven platforms – Apache Spark, Storm, Hadoop ecosystem- MapReduce, Pig, HBase, Hive

 • Highly motivated developer passionate in building highly scalable and reliable systems.

• Experience in different web deployment stacks - JVM/Scala, Solr, Elastic Search • Good team player; experience in leading small teams (3-4).

EDUCATION

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
