IDR is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Oregon. This role offers a chance to work within a dynamic environment supporting enterprise data governance initiatives in the public sector. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring data quality, compliance, and metadata management within an Agile delivery team.
Position Overview for the Data Governance Analyst:
- Serve as the data governance representative within an Agile delivery team, ensuring governance standards are incorporated throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Engineers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data assets meet enterprise quality and governance standards.
- Support metadata management, data stewardship, and business glossary initiatives using Collibra.
- Ensure critical data elements, business definitions, lineage, and ownership are accurately documented and maintained.
- Validate data quality, consistency, and governance requirements before data is promoted for downstream reporting and analytics.
Requirements for the Data Governance Analyst:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, or Data Stewardship.
- Experience supporting Workers' Compensation systems, claims, or business operations.
- Hands-on experience with Collibra for metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, or governance workflows.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance principles, data quality, metadata management, and stewardship.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments alongside cross-functional delivery teams.
