We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals who are comfortable working with computers, have strong attention to detail, and can accurately manage information while meeting established deadlines.
The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for entering, reviewing, updating, and maintaining information across company databases, spreadsheets, internal systems, and digital records. The successful candidate will help ensure that company data remains accurate, complete, organized, and readily accessible to authorized team members.
Because this is a remote position, candidates should be comfortable working independently, managing their time effectively, communicating through digital platforms, and maintaining productivity with limited supervision.
Previous professional data entry experience is not required. Training will be provided to qualified candidates.
As a Data Entry Specialist, your responsibilities may include:
Enter, update, and maintain information in company databases, spreadsheets, CRM platforms, and other internal systems.
Transfer data from source documents, forms, emails, reports, or other records into designated digital systems.
Review information for accuracy and completeness before entering or updating records.
Verify entered data by comparing it with original source documents and correcting discrepancies when identified.
Identify missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent information and follow established procedures to resolve issues.
Organize and maintain electronic files and records according to company standards.
Perform routine database maintenance, including updating outdated information and removing or flagging duplicate records.
Process information accurately while meeting established productivity and turnaround-time expectations.
Prepare basic spreadsheets, reports, lists, and summaries when requested.
Conduct basic online or internal research to verify information when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of completed assignments and report progress to supervisors or team leads.
Communicate with appropriate team members when clarification or additional information is required.
Follow established data-entry procedures, quality-control standards, and documentation guidelines.
Handle confidential, proprietary, customer, employee, or business information responsibly.
Follow company privacy, information-security, and data-protection policies at all times.
Participate in virtual meetings, training sessions, and team communications as required.
