Position OverviewThe LIHEAP Data Entry Clerk supports the Energy Assistance and Energy Crisis Intervention programs by processing applications, reviewing documentation, entering information into program systems, and assisting participants throughout the application process. This position plays an important role in ensuring applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and confidentially. Key Responsibilities- Review and process LIHEAP applications and supporting documentation.
- Enter and maintain accurate participant information in program systems.
- Communicate with participants regarding application status and required information.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate program records.
- Stay informed of program requirements and participate in required training.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic office, clerical, phone, and data entry skills.
- Ability to learn and follow program guidelines and computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications- Previous data entry, clerical, customer service, or administrative experience.
- Experience working with energy assistance or community service programs.
Required Skills and Abilities- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate professionally with participants and coworkers.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Valid Missouri driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance.
