Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Enterprise Data Architecture to design, build, and optimize scalable data products and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling that supports complex executive and operational dashboards, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to provide technical expertise to other team members.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise-scale data products using Microsoft Fabric and related Azure data services.
Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models, datasets, and dashboards for business-critical reporting and analytics.
Create and maintain complex dimensional and analytical data models supporting large-scale reporting environments.
Adhere to data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for data integration, quality, security, and performance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, other data engineers, analysts, and leadership teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
Drive adoption of Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
Optimize data pipelines, data warehouse architectures, and reporting performance.
Adhere to data modeling standards to ensure consistency across enterprise reporting solutions.
Support Agile development processes and participate in solution planning and estimation activities.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, and Real-Time Analytics components.
Advanced experience with Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, data visualization, and performance tuning.
Expertise in SQL, data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data warehouse best practices.
Experience working with large-scale datasets and delivering executive-level dashboards and reporting solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to share knowledge with team members and contribute to team growth.
Local to HQ markets in Seattle (preferred), Kansas City, or Dallas; and willing to work onsite/hybrid as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry (wireless, broadband, etc.).
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, DBT, and/or Azure Data Services (including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
Microsoft certifications related to Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, or Power BI.
