Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in West Chester, PA. The ideal candidate with expertise designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based analytics solutions to support enterprise reporting and operational intelligence.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data and ETL solutions using Spark, PySpark, Databricks, AWS, and modern data engineering technologies.
Build and optimize data pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources into enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms.
Develop and maintain data models, SQL queries, STTMs, ERDs, data dictionaries, and other technical documentation to support business reporting and operational intelligence.
Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements, resolve data-related issues, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data environments, implementing alerting, logging, performance tuning, and operational improvements.
Design and support cloud-native data architectures leveraging AWS services, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Databricks while ensuring scalability, reliability, and data quality.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
6-8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data development, and enterprise data warehouse environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, PySpark, AWS, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, and large-scale ETL/data pipeline development.
Expertise in SQL, Teradata, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, data warehousing concepts, and production support for cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
