    Schwab Technology Services builds and supports reliable technology products that help clients and business partners manage data with confidence. As a Data Engineer, you will help develop, test, and maintain data pipelines that support accurate data migration across source and target systems. In this role, you will use data engineering fundamentals, SQL, Informatica, and strong problem-solving skills to implement transformations, validate data accuracy and quality assurance. You will collaborate with technical leads and peers to review mapping specifications, refine solutions, and deliver high-quality data outcomes that support scalable, secure, and trusted technology solutions across Schwab.

    What you have

    Required qualifications

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development
    • Experience building mappings, tasks, and task flows using ETL Tools
    • Strong SQL experience, including writing queries, creating and altering tables, joints, aggregations, and data validation scripts
    • Experience working with staging tables, lookup tables, reference tables, and mapping configurations
    • Ability to read technical mapping specifications and implement source-to-target transformation logic
    • Experience performing unit testing to validate data accuracy and transformation logic
    • Open-source scripting using Python for data processing

    Preferred qualifications

    • Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server) and database objects used in data migration or data integration work
    • Ability to apply data engineering fundamentals to build reliable, compliant, and scalable data pipelines
    • Strong attention to detail when validating data, reviewing specifications, and preparing work for quality assurance
    • Ability to troubleshoot moderately complex data issues by analyzing patterns, identifying root causes, and recommending practical solutions
    • Experience participating in peer reviews and applying feedback to improve delivery quality
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams, keep others informed, and adapt to changing priorities

    In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
