Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. This role involves designing ETL/ELT workflows, optimizing data performance, and developing reusable data processing components to support data science and machine learning initiatives.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data into Snowflake from multiple sources.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for efficient data processing.
Build reusable data processing components and automation scripts using Python and Snowflake APIs.
Monitor and tune system performance, including query optimization, clustering, and storage efficiency.
Collaborate with data science and ML teams to support data-driven applications and analytics use cases.
Maintain data quality, reliability, and governance across data pipelines and platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in data engineering and data pipeline development.
Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets.
Proficiency in Python and Unix scripting, with experience in performance tuning and supporting data science/ML workloads.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $45.00 per hour
