Data Engineer

Apply Python and Apache Spark expertise to troubleshoot complex data environments, deliver production fixes, and improve data-processing performance. Support production data applications with a focus on platform stability, application governance, incident resolution, and operational excellence.

Duration: 6+ months
Location: On-site 3-4 days/week in Charlotte, NC | Addison, TX

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on Python experience.
• Hands-on Apache Spark experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for data applications and platforms.
• Monitor batch jobs, workflows, incidents, and service-level agreement (SLA) commitments.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring production issues.
• Implement production fixes, enhancements, and preventive measures.
• Support application governance, audits, operational controls, compliance, and documentation.
• Optimize data-processing jobs and queries for performance and scalability
