Description

Role Summary:
  • Build and operate secure, mission critical data solutions in a classified cloud environment.
  • Design and maintain ETL pipelines, data integrations, and migrations across on premises and AWS.
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance for large scale datasets.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data.
  • Build data migration solutions between legacy and modern systems using SQL, Java, and cloud native tools.
  • Implement data integration frameworks on AWS using Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, and Kinesis.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python and Shell/Bash for deployment, validation, and maintenance.
  • Maintain and optimize real time and batch pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Support data quality, metadata management, and governance processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across on premises and AWS environments.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum sprints, contributing to design, coding, reviews, testing, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Mid level: Five or more years in data engineering or database development.
  • Senior level: Eight or more years in data engineering or database development.
  • Hands on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, AWS Glue, or custom Java ETL.
  • Proficiency in SQL and one major RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with data migration and data quality validation.
  • Proficiency in Java or Python for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Working knowledge of Linux or Unix and shell scripting.
  • Experience in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with streaming and event driven data patterns using Kinesis or similar.
  • Experience in classified or regulated environments with secure development practices.
