Data Engineer / Marketing Technology Developer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer / Marketing Technology Developer - Remote position with a Leading Retailer located in Secaucus, NJ. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

The Data Engineer / MarTech Developer will support the development and maintenance of data integration, data warehousing, and MarTech and Personalization solutions. This role will work with business and technical teams to understand data requirements, develop ETL processes, integrate data from multiple sources, and ensure data is accurate, reliable, and available for reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes for integrating data from multiple internal and external sources
• Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Develop data pipelines and integration processes using Talend Management Studio
• Work with Snowflake and Microsoft SQL Server databases to develop queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects
• Support the integration of data using Amazon AWS services, including S3 and SQS
• Experience building the data layer for Personalization tools such as Insider One, BlueCore, Bloomreach etc
• Extract, transform, validate, and load data into data warehouse and reporting environments
• Develop and maintain source to target mappings, transformation rules, and technical documentation
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve data quality and integration issues
• Monitor ETL jobs and data pipelines and investigate failed processes, data discrepancies, and performance issues
• Support data warehouse and data mart development, including data modeling, dimensions, facts, and reporting structures
• Partner with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into data solutions
• Develop SQL queries and perform data analysis to support business reporting and operational requirements
• Support business intelligence reporting and dashboard development using tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• Perform database and query performance tuning to improve the efficiency of data processing and reporting
• Use pgAdmin to query, analyze, troubleshoot, and validate PostgreSQL databases
• Participate in application testing, implementation, production support, and ongoing enhancement of data solutions

Requirements:

• 3 years' experience developing ETL and data integration solutions
• Strong SQL skills with experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and SSIS
• Experience with Talend Management Studio and Talend data integration tools
• Experience working with Amazon AWS services, particularly S3 and SQS
• Experience with Personalization tools such as InsiderOne and BlueCore
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and pgAdmin
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, data mapping, and data transformation
• Experience troubleshooting data integration processes and resolving data quality issues
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Pay range: $49.40 - $59.40 per hour
