Job SummaryWe are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions supporting energy industry software products.
Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of relevant Software Engineering or Data Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in Data Modeling and ETL/Data Pipeline Engineering.
- Experience with AI/ML Frameworks and end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of Software Development fundamentals.
- Experience with System Design and Architecture.
- Full-stack exposure; Angular and Node.js preferred.
- Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines.
- Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives.
- Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions.
- Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases/search, and prompt orchestration pipelines.
- Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices.
- Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
