- 8+ years of data engineering experience in large-scale environments
- Strong SQL (expert level) for transformations and performance tuning
- Strong Python for ETL/ELT and data pipelines
- Experience with Spark (preferably Databricks)
- Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, EMR/Lambda, IAM) and Redshift
- Experience building scalable data pipelines for AI/ML/analytics
- Expertise in data modeling & architecture (lakehouse, dimensional models, etc.)
- Strong experience in data integration / stitching from multiple sources
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads (feature stores, training datasets, RAG/LLM basics)
- Ability to optimize cost and performance in cloud environments
- Strong collaboration with Data Scientists / AI Engineers
- Experience in Fortune 100 or large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, DataOps/MLOps
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
- Exposure to BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher)
- Deep experience with vector databases / RAG implementations (beyond basics)
- Strong business domain understanding and stakeholder alignment
