Description

MaxHealth is seeking a Data Engineer for developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise data pipelines and data integration solutions within MaxHealth's cloud-based analytics ecosystem. This role works closely with Data Platform Engineers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure the timely, accurate, and reliable delivery of data used for reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.The Data Engineer will assist with modernizing legacy data processes, developing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, supporting Microsoft Fabric initiatives, and monitoring the quality and reliability of enterprise data assets.Location- Candidates must be located in the greater Tampa Bay region to be considered for this position. Tampa or Sarasota preferred with hybrid flexibility.Required Qualifications4+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, database development, or related technical rolesExperience with SQL Server and strong SQL development skillsExperience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, or similar data integration tools (hands on Fabric and Databricks experience preferred)Experience developing ETL/ELT processes and data transformation workflowsScripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar languagesUnderstanding of relational databases and data modeling conceptsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work effectively in both independent and team environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Fabric components as well as DatabricksFamiliarity with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 or cloud-based data platformsUnderstanding of data warehouse and lakehouse conceptsExposure to CI/CD practices and Azure DevOpsExperience working in healthcare, payer, provider, or regulated environmentsFamiliarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsPreferred Certifications:Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent foundational cloud certHDI Support Center Analyst or equivalentClinical application certifications a plus.Key Responsibilities:Data Integration & Pipeline DevelopmentDevelop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and/or FabricSupport migration of legacy SSIS processes to modern cloud-based solutionsBuild and maintain reusable ELT processes for data ingestion and transformationIntegrate data from operational systems, applications, APIs, and third-party vendorsSupport data loading processes into data lake, warehouse, and reporting environmentsData Operations & SupportMonitor scheduled data pipelines and troubleshoot execution failuresRespond to data-related incidents and support operational data processesAssist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actionsWork with Data Operations teams to ensure reliable and timely data deliveryParticipate in production support and on-call activities as assignedData Quality & ValidationImplement data validation and reconciliation processes within pipelinesMonitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy across source and target systemsInvestigate data anomalies and partner with business users to resolve issuesSupport testing and validation efforts for new data integrations and enhancementsDatabase Development & SupportDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objectsSupport database performance tuning efforts and indexing strategiesAssist with database maintenance and data management activitiesFollow established security, compliance, and data governance standardsDocumentation & Continuous ImprovementMaintain technical documentation for data pipelines, workflows, and integrationsDocument data mappings, transformation logic, and operational proceduresFollow development standards, coding conventions, and deployment processesIdentify opportunities to improve data processing efficiency and reliabilityABOUT MAXHEALTHMaxHealth is dedicated to simplifying healthcare and ensuring healthier futures-for our patients and our people.Founded in 2015, MaxHealth is a leading primary care platform focused on delivering high‑quality, integrated, value‑based care to adults and senior patients throughout Florida.
