Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is for designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud-based data platforms, pipelines, and analytics solutions to support enterprise data initiatives.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions to support enterprise analytics and business requirements.

• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and curation processes using GCP services, Python, SQL, Kafka, and BigQuery.

• Develop and manage data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and modern cloud data architectures for structured and unstructured data.

• Implement data governance, security controls, and best practices to ensure data quality, compliance, and reliability.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data platform performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, and Big Data solution development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Kafka, Python, and SQL.

• Proven expertise in designing scalable data pipelines, cloud data architectures, data lakes/data warehouses, and enterprise-grade analytics solutions.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
